Clutches
In developing its comprehensive range of clutches, Alcon's blueprint was to design and manufacture the "best available range of racing clutches"
Our experienced competition clutch engineers are equipped with the very latest in CAD and finite element analysis packages to ensure designs are optimised in all critical areas of performance.
The Alcon range of clutches is available in carbon/carbon, sintered and cerametallic variants ranging in size from 200mm, through 184mm (7ΒΌ"), 152mm (6"), 140mm (51/2") to 115mm (41/2") with single and multi-plate options and a variety of spring loads and ratios. All clutches have been designed for total interchangeability with current flywheel mounting patterns.
Teams competing in sedan racing, single seater, stock car, and endurance racing have the option of carbon/carbon, sintered or cerametallic clutches depending on regulations, application and intended use.
To prolong life expectancy and deliver maximum value for money, Alcon is able to provide a clutch reconditioning and a technical support service.
