Actuation

Alcon is leading the way in the development of high efficiency brake actuation systems. Our range of master cylinders and balance bars address the inconsistency problems associated with traditional balance bars, caused by friction in the moving parts of the assembly. Bias variation throughout a single brake application has been reduced from up to 20% in a conventional system to less than 2% in the Alcon system. Alcon high efficiency balance bars and master cylinders are currently being used in all forms of professional racing including NASCAR® Sprint Cup, IndyCar®, Daytona Prototype and more.
